Survey Technician

Geoworks is expanding and looking to recruit an experienced Survey Technician.

Are you looking for an enjoyable and professional work environment where you’ll be well supported in your technical and professional skill development? This position could be right for you.

The Challenge:

• Get involved in a variety of field survey work in support of land and site development. This includes boundary location, topographical site survey, construction set out and as builts.

• Develop your field-based and office-based survey and design skills, including use of 12D, Trimble and Leica.

• Work closely with colleagues, clients, approving authorities, contractors & subconsultants to deliver a seamless integrated service and successful project outcomes. This includes taking a well-planned approach and problem-solving/finding solutions.

 

Your Skills:

• Hold a Surveying or Engineering qualification at Diploma level or higher.

• Have a minimum of 3 years related experience including use of Trimble or Leica tools.

• Strong communication skills and good attention to detail.

Your Skills:

• Hold a New Zealand Bachelor of Surveying Degree.

• For Intermediate Surveyor position, have 2-5 years of related experience.

• For Graduate Surveyor position, have 0-2 years of related experience.

• Take a lead role in service and project delivery, which may include investigations & feasibility studies; topographical, cadastral & engineering surveying; consenting; subdivision engineering; & construction supervision.

• If you have an interest in people leadership, there is scope to develop your skills in this area in a mentorship, delivery lead or team lead capacity.

• Develop and manage client relationships with open, regular communication and excellent service delivery.

• Work closely with colleagues, clients, approving authorities, contractors & subconsultants to deliver a seamless integrated service and successful project outcomes. This includes taking a well-planned approach and problem-solving/finding solutions.

Your Skills:

• Hold a Bachelor of Surveying qualification and have 5+ years’ related experience.

• Cadastral survey experience and licensing will be highly regarded.

• Strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships.

• Skills and an interest to lead, mentor, develop staff will be highly regarded.
